Thanksgiving/Fall CALs - Place mats
Round placemat-
Pumpkin: Orange and green yarn
Crow: Black and yellow/gold yarn
Scarecrow: Aran and hat color of choice
Chain 5
18 treble crochet in 5th chain from hook. Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 2
Chain 4
2 Treble crochet in each stitch. Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 3
Chain 4
1 Treble crochet in first stitch. *2 treble crochet in next stitch,
1 treble crochet in next stitch*
Continue *-* around. Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 4
Chain 4
1 Treble crochet in first stitch. *2 treble crochet in next stitch,
1 treble crochet in next 2 stitches*
Continue *-* around. Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 5
Chain 4
1 Treble crochet in first stitch. *2 treble crochet in next stitch,
1 treble crochet in next 3 stitches*
Continue *-* around. Slip stitch to beginning.
Oval Place mats-
Orange yarn
Round 1-
Chain 24
1 Treble crochet in the 4th chain from hook.
1 Treble crochet in each chain across.
6 Treble crochet in the last chain.
Working on the back loops of chain.
1 Treble crochet in each loop across.
5 Treble crochet in last loop.
Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 2-
Chain 4
1 Treble crochet in same stitch.
1 Treble crochet in next 19 stitches.
2 Treble crochet in next 6 stitches.
1 Treble crochet in next 20 stitches.
2 Treble crochet in next 6 stitches.
Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 3-
Chain 4
1 Treble crochet in same stitch.
1 Treble crochet in next 19 stitches.
2 Treble crochet in next 12 stitches.
1 Treble crochet in next 20 stitches.
2 Treble crochet in next 12 stitches.
Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 4-
Chain 4
1 Treble crochet in same stitch.
1 Treble crochet in next 19 stitches.
2 Treble crochet in next 24 stitches.
1 Treble crochet in next 20 stitches.
2 Treble crochet in next 24 stitches.
Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 5-
Chain 2
1 half double crochet in each stitch.
Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 6-
Repeat round 5.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
You can add a built on napkin ring / silverware holder.
Just make your choice of the fridgies and sew the sides onto the place mat and then you can slide the napkin and silverware through it.
So cute!! I wish I had found this earlier this year, but instead I will work on these over the winter and have them ready for next fall! Than you!

I had finally resorted to using an oval rug pattern. I can make them not only for Thanksgiving, but for every day use also. Again, thank you so much for posting these.
