H hook

Mickey:
Red, yellow and black yarn

Red yarn-
chain 3
10 half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook. Slip stitch to beginning

Round 2
Chain 2
2 half double crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch to beginning.

Round 3
Chain 2
2 half double crochet in first stitch, 1 half double crochet in next stitch.  *2 half double crochet
in next stitch, 1 half double crochet in next stitch* continue *...* around slip stitch to beginning.

Round 4
Chain 2
1 half double crochet in each stitch around back loops only. Slip stitch to beginning.

Round 5 and 6
Chain 3
1 double crochet in each stitch around slip stitch to beginning.

Change to black yarn
Round 7 and 8
Chain 3
1 double crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch to beginning.

Round 9
Chain 2
1 half double crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch to beginning.

Strap-
Chain 2
1 half double crochet in 3 stitches.
Turn
Chain 2
1 half double crochet in each stitch.
Turn chain 2
1 half double crochet in each stitch.
Continue until you have 18 rows.
18th row
Do half double crochet in the strap and 3 stitches on opposite side of basket to attach the strap.
Fasten off weave ends in.


Ears(make 2)-
Chain 3
10 half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook.  Slip stitch to beginning.
Round 2
Chain 2
2 half double crochet in each stitch leaving 4 unworked stitches at end.
Round 3
Turn
Chain 2
2 half double crochet in first stitch, 1 half double crochet in next stitch.  *2 hdc in next stitch, 1 hdc in next stitch*
continue *..* around.  Fasten off leave tail for sewing ears on to basket.

Buttons(make 2) yellow yarn-
Chain 3
8 hdc in 3rd chain from hook.  Slip stitch to beginning.
Fasten off leave tail for sewing on to basket.


Sew buttons onto front of basket.
Sew ears onto front of the basket and edge of strap.


Minnie-

Do same as Mickey but use pink yarn instead of red.

Bow-
Chain 7
1 half double crochet in 3rd hook from chain and in each of the remaining chains.

Rows 2 and 3
Turn
chain 2
1 hdc in each stitch across

Row 4
Turn chain 2
hdc decrease in first 2 stitches, 1 hdc, 1 hdc decrease in last 2 stitches.

Rows 5 and 6
Turn chain 2
hdc in each stitch across.

Row 7
Turn chain 2
2 hdc in first stitch, 1 hdc in next stitch, 2 hdc in last stitch.

Rows 8, 9 and 10
Turn chain 2
1 hdc in each stitch across.  Fasten off.

Sew bow between ears on front of basket.
Make and sew 2 ears to basket.
