Thanks for uploading your patterns it's awesome to have them to practice with, just a question if you don't mind, in round 1 what are the 4 bottom loops? It's probably just me but I don't understand that part! Thanks again :)

It is the bottom of the chain where you have already single crocheted in the chain and then you turn and you have the bottom loop left of the chain. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for sharing this pattern! I have a couple of questions. Do you slipstitch into the chain one or the first single crochet and do you start your first stitch in the same stitch as your chain one or do you go into the next stitch. Thank you!

Just saw your reply! Thank you for trying to explain it to me I will try try again lol :)

Brenda,
Where it says slip stitch to beginning it is the chain one stitch.

Rounds 4-19 you don't slip stitch at beginning. It is just continuous rounds.

I begin my first stitch in the next stitch from the chain one.

Hope this helps.

AngieB, I have a question. I read in the last post where is says you begin your first stitch in the next stitch from the chain one? If I do that, it's not the first stitch of the last round, it's the stitch before, am I doing it right? I have a feeling I'm messing it up.

Thanks!

Morning Angie, I have a question, the brimmed part is it a bit stiff or floppy? Thank you

Karen Moseley said...

If you want to add a contrast band before the brim, what row would you do that on?
