Finished Project- All Over Bib

Hey Everyone,

I just finished a project that has been rumbling around in my head for awhile after I saw a pattern for one that is sewn with fabric.  I drew up a pattern and made it in the fabric than I thought "Hey, I can make a crocheted one of these."

So here is the finished crocheted project-

 The size in the pictures is large preemie/small newborn(5-7 lbs).

I can make them from small preemie to 12 months.

The pattern will be upcoming on here.  

This one is the basic girl's pattern.  I will also have basic boys and ones with all the fringes and frills.

Front of Scarecrow:
Aran Yarn and I hook-
Chain 4
12 DC into 4 chain from hook. Join with slip stitch. (12 DC)
Chain 3
2 DC each stitch around. Join with Slip Stitch (24 DC)
Chain 3
2 DC in first stitch * 1 DC in next stitch 2 DC in next stitch Continue around * Join with slip stitch. (36DC)
Chain 3
2 DC in first stitch * 1 DC in next 2 stitches 2 DC in the next stitch. Continue around * Join with slip stitch(48DC)
Fasten off yarn and weave in ends.

Sew on 2 buttons for eyes, small orange nose, red mouth

Straw/Hair:
Attach gold/yellow yarn to top of scarecrow. 
Chain 6.  Slip stitch in each chain.  Slip stitch to top.

Towel Ring:
With aran yarn-
Attach yarn to ring/bracelet.
Single crochet around the ring/bracelet.
Chain 1
Slip stitch around each stitch around.
Fasten off and leave long tail to attach to the scarecrow.
Sew top 1/2 of Ring/Bracelet to the 3 round of the back of the scarecrow.

Place front and back of Scarecrow together and sew 1/2 way around Scarecrow leaving bottom open.


Hat:
Attach brown yarn to top of scarecrow.  Evenly crochet 11 single crochet across the top.  Turn chain 2, 3 hdc in each of the back loop of each stitch.
Turn Chain 2. 1 HDC in each of the unworked loops.  Slip stitch to beginning.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.


Hanger:
Attach brown yarn to top of scarecrow behind hat.
Evenly crochet 7 single crochet across.
*Turn Chain 2 HDC across row (7hdc)
Repeat * for 4 rows
Turn Chain 2 HDC decrease the first 2 stitches HDC the next 3 stitches HDC decrease the last 2 stitches (5hdc)
Turn Chain 2 HDC in each stitch across row (5hdc)
Turn Chain 2 HDC in the first stitch Chain 2 Skip the next 2 stitches. HDC in the last 2 stitches (3 hdc 2 chains)
Turn Chain 1 SC in each stitch across including chain 2. (5sc)

Sew button to bottom of hanger.
Fold hanger in half and button.

Towel Ring:
With orange yarn-
Attach yarn to ring/bracelet.
Single crochet around the ring/bracelet.

Slip stitch around each stitch around.
Fasten off and leave long tail to attach to the pumpkin.
Sew top 1/2 of Ring/Bracelet to the 3 round of the back of the pumpkin.

Place front and back of Pumpkin together and sew 1/2 way around Pumpkin leaving bottom open.

Vine:

Green yarn-
Attach yarn to the top of pumpkin.
Chain 15
3 sc in each chain.
Fasten off weave in ends.


Hanger/Stem
Attach Brown yarn to top of pumpkin and work 7 SC across top.(7sc)
*Turn Chain 2 HDC across row (7hdc)
Repeat * for 4 rows
Turn Chain 2 HDC decrease the first 2 stitches HDC the next 3 stitches HDC decrease the last 2 stitches (5hdc)
Turn Chain 2 HDC in each stitch across row (5hdc)

1 HDC in the next three chains.
1 DC in the next two chains
6 DC in the last chain
Working in the free loops in back of chain:
1 DC in the next 2 loops

Join to the beginning with slip stitch.

Sew leaf to top of Apple.

Fasten off and leave long tail to attach to the frog.
Sew Ring/Bracelet to the 3 round of the back of the frog.

Place Front and Back of Frog together with the towel ring inside.
Sew from 4 stitches below the eye around to 4 stitches below the opposite eye leaving bottom open.

Hanger:
Attach green yarn to the top of frog at the first stitch between eyes.
Single crochet in the 4 stitches between eyes.
*Turn Chain 2 HDC in each stitch
Repeat * 6 rows
Turn Chain 2
HDC in first stitch Chain 2 HDC in last stitch
Turn Chain 1
Single crochet in each stitch and each chain.

Fly:
With F hook and black yarn-
Chain 2
6 single crochet in second chain from hook. Join with slip stitch.
Chain 2
2 HDC in same stitch
Chain 2
Slip stitch in same stitch.
Fasten off black yarn and leave long tail for sewing onto frog.
Attach white yarn between head and body of fly.
Chain 3 Slip stitch in same stitch
Slip stitch other side of head and chain 3 slip stitch in same stitch.
Fasten off yarn and weave in ends.

Take button and fly and attach to the middle of the first row of hanger.

Fold hanger and button through the chain 2.
